Google Calendar Gadget Shows All Your Calendars

Posted on August 31st, 2006 in Google Calendar

Google Calendar Gadget for Google Desktop is an easy way to view your calendar without visiting Google Calendar site. Now the small gadget allows you to view all your calendars or only the calendars you want, not just the main calendar.

It’s also easier to add events in the calendar without going to the site. If you enable the alerts in Google Desktop, you can be notified about the events. Even if your Internet connection goes down, you’ll still be able to see your calendar and get alerts.

The gadget requires Google Desktop 4, which was also updated to version 4.2006.825. If you already have the gadget, you need to download the new version.

Google Calendar in Mozilla Calendar like Sunbird

Posted on August 31st, 2006 in Google Calendar, Sunbird

Eldzi wrote this post:

Hello everyone :)

Today I made some research around new Google Calendar. Calendaring is a nice thing and I use it every day to write down my work hours and things I need to do. I have been using Mozilla Calendar extension, Sunbird and Lightening, too. They are all same in its basics.

When I was trying to import calendar from Google, I found some noticable things. But first-things-first. How to import? This way:

How to Sync Google Calendar with Outlook and Smartphones Automatically

Posted on August 28th, 2006 in Google Calendar, Outlook XP_2003

Jake Ludington wrote this article on how to sync Google calendar with you smartphone:

My big complaint about Google Calendar was lack of support for easily syncing calendar data with my smartphone. I use Outlook for my personal information management because it’s still the only thing that puts all my data in one place the way I want it. Google Calendar’s iCal export made manual syncing with Outlook possible, but I want to get all my calendar data from my computer to my phone automatically. RemoteCalendars solves this problem, making ongoing data sync simple after a convoluted setup process.

Switching from iCal to Google Calendar

Posted on August 25th, 2006 in Google Calendar, iCal

Seb Payne wrote this post on changing from iCal to Google calendar:

When I bought my Palm Z22, I decided that I would seriously organise my life. Missing birthdays, forgetting times and relying on an old calendar hanging up in the kitchen isn’t the best of ideas. Therefore, I purchased Missing Sync for Mac OS X and I have been very pleased with it (I’d recommend it many times over Palm Desktop! - for one thing, you can sync multiple calendars). I naturally just used iCal for this task as it is the default program in Mac OS X, it integrates with the other parts of the Apple eco-system and it ‘just works’. However, I’ve been thinking and realising it isn’t the most satisfying program to use so I’ve added Google Calendar into the mix. Why?
