Profy Kiko Review

Paul Glazowski of Profy reviewed Kiko. His conclusion: Most online calendars are quite impressive, and I will say that Google Calendar had me on the verge of converting, but Kiko wins my vote for ‘best in show’. It’s got everything I need and lets me get on with my business. Chalk one up for the little guy. This one’s a winner.

Profy Google Calendar Review

Paul Glazowski form Profy reviewed Google Calendar. His conclusion: Google Calendar is an immensely simple item with lots of nooks and crannies, as all good things are. The fool on the hill: Google Calendar Notification Trick

This may be very obvious to some people but I stumbled onto a work-around for an annoyance in Google calendar and thought I would share it.

Google Calendar will send event notifications to your mobile phone if you choose.  However, I do not want every single event in my calendar sending me a text message.  Unfortunately, there is no way (that I could find) to specify only certain message to alert your phone.  I have come up with a way to do this that has worked quite nicely for me.

Goowy

What Goowy says about itself:

Goowy gives you everything you need in a fresh, simple package, including an instant messenger that lets you chat with your buddies from any network, powerful e-mail, contacts & calendar, customized news, rss, minis, file storage, sharing & finally some fun games when you just want to relax.

What we think of Goowy:

Goowy is a good example of a new breed of all-in-one webtop applications. The calendar in it self is not that fancy but combined with all the other features absolutely worth trying.

Zyb

What Zyb says about itself:

Get a backup of your mobile data and get instant online access to your mobile’s contacts and calendar with ZYB. By signing up, you’ll be able to store, manage and even share your mobile’s content online with friends within minutes. No cables or downloads needed.

What we think of Zyb:

As a calendarapplication is not the most fully loaded but the concept of syncing data via SyncML like Mobical is a very nice feature which the major applications should support.
