Preview: Scrybe organizer pushes Web 2.0 limits

Mike Heck (InfoWorld) reviewed Scrybe. His conclusion:

Scrybe’s online organizer melds Web 2.0 innovations with new approaches to traditional functions, including printing. With a minimalist design and attention to detail characteristic of Apple products, Scrybe should find a home with business and professional users faced with planning complex schedules and capturing notes — especially anyone needing to work offline.

Jotlet: Import is here! and it’s only the beginning…

We’ve added button to Jotlet’s header called “advanced”. This new advanced window is where we plan to fill Jotlet with some exciting new features. The first 3 such features are: the fancy new import feature, the export menu, and a page describing our Netvibes integration.

Scrybe enters Phase 2 of Beta

Phase 2 of the beta started rolling out yesterday. The ThoughtPad should be available to all the beta users by the end of today. This build also includes some minor fixes for the Calendar.

Show Google calendar in Rainlendar

Rainlendar cannot read the Google calendar files directly from the net but it is possible to use a 3rd party tool for this. Here are quick instructions how to do it.

Online Calendar Wars

Michael Arrington (Techcrunch) analyses the online calendar war going on between Google, MSN and Yahoo.

Recent Hitwise traffic data on Google Calendar is out, and it shows a steady increase v. the competing products from Yahoo and Microsoft. All three are about the same size now, although only Google Calendar is pointing in the right direction…….

iPodCALsync: Online iPod calendar synchronization

When you insert it, it will fetch your calendars and put them onto your iPod. No difficult configuration needed. Everything is done from within a simple interface.

Railendar 2.0.2 released

Rainlendar has released a new version: 2.0.2.
Here is the list of changes:

  • Tooltip window didn’t accept any mouse input. Fixed.
  • Fixed text margins in the tooltips in the legacy skins.
  • Function keys didn’t work as hotkeys. Fixed.
  • Added ‘/’, ‘.’ and ‘-’ characters to the white bitmap font in the Shadow4 skin.
  • Added skinning instructions to the help.
  • Strings with border effect were clipped. Fixed.
  • Some legacy skins didn’t show the today item. Fixed.
  • When editing an event the alarm dismiss is reset only if there are some changes to the alarm values.
  • The until date in recurrence is automatically moved if it is before the start/due date.
  • The repeat day was set incorrectly in the ics-file if a weekly recurring event’s start time was moved to another day because of timezone adjustment.
  • All day events that were set on the start day of the DST spanned on two days. Fixed.
  • Implemented a new time format parser.
  • Some fixes to WeekNumberDelta feature sthat it doesn’t show negative/too large values.
  • Alt+F4 crashed the application. Fixed.
  • Added DisableShortcuts advanced options to disable all keyboard shortcuts (does not affect hotkeys).
  • Added support for Asturian language.
  • Fixed event list images in some of the legacy skins.
  • Alarm sound set for an event was not played. Fixed.
  • Added “Keep offline copy” option to network calendar.
  • Fixed a hang when a recurring task was set to completed.
  • Pre and post days were shown always in the Dec-Jan. Fixed.
  • The Private-checkbox didn’t work. Fixed.
  • Tooltips shouldn’t pop up anymore if the menu is open.
  • Improvements to the legacy skin support.
  • EventListShowComingEvents didn’t work from the advanced settings. Fixed.
  • Removed Cleartype related code as it didn’t work very well.
  • Importing ics files which doesn’t contain UIDs works now.
  • Improved compatibility of the exported ics files.
  • Remove button caused crash if no calendars were selected. Fixed.
  • Added EventListAgeFromStartOfWeek to advanced options which defines how the weeks are shown in the event list header.
