Cozi now syncs with Outlook

Posted on November 29th, 2007 in Cozi

Cozi, the family calendar, now syncs with Outlook. In itself not a big deal since this is a feature on more calendar systems but for Cozi user a big step. I haven’t looked at Cozi for a while but I will do shortly. I like the fact that they aim for a certain niche with a clear proposal; the site looks nice and fresh and they keep developing.
Do you know anyone with “famnesia?” This dreaded affliction deletes the family schedule from your head as soon as you step foot in the office.

Cozi has the cure…the Cozi Outlook Toolbar. Try it before December 16, 2007 you’ll have a chance to win one of two Apple iPhones.

Calgoo moves to Facebook

Posted on November 14th, 2007 in Calgoo
In the Calgoo Calendar version 1.3. (later this week) the new Facebook application Agenda Share will be released.  The Agenda Share is an opt-in service that keeps your Facebook friends up to date with your calendar. Facebook users can update their Facebook status from Calgoo Calendar and publish their Calgoo Calendar agenda right into their Facebook news feed.  Tags can be used to filter your events that appear on Facebook. Future enhancements under consideration include the syncing of Facebook events with Calgoo Calendar:http://flickr.com/photos/calgoo/sets/72157603154231499/
Calgoo is not the first calendar app on Facebook. I never did much research but I know at least 30boxes is also in Facebook. I’ll write an post on calendar apps in facebook.

Windows Live Calendar Live

Posted on November 7th, 2007 in Windows Live Calendar

Windows Live Calendar is now live. As I mentioned before I’m not too impressed with the efforts from Microsoft. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would say Microsoft moved their online calendar app from a 3 to a 4.

Windows Live Calendar beta Launches

Posted on November 5th, 2007 in Windows Live Calendar

Windows Live Calendar is now beta-open. Compared to the old calendar some necessary progrees was made. New features include:

  • Share calendars
  • Set reminders
  • Import calendars (although it is still not possible to subscribe to calendars)

The interface seems more intuitive. All in all good improvements but still I miss features like: event search, email integration, SYNCML, off line access and the option to subscribe to calendars.

Mashable’s Kristen Nicole reviewed Windows Live Calendar.
