Entourage, the MS office calendar for the Mac, is about to be upgraded to Entourage 2008. According to Mac Mojo Entourage 2008 has improved the following:
- Accept, Tentative, and Decline from the Calendar
- Meeting updates and cancellations
- Reply, Reply-all, and Forward
- Stale Invites
- Conflict and Adjacent Banners
- No response requested
- Better Exchange 2007 interaction
In my opinion all changes are not revolutionary and are need-to-haves for serious calendar app’s. MS is trying to help out a group of users (Mac users) which they have neglected for years. I don’t believe there are many Mac users who need a robust calendar tool that haven’t been disappointed by the past Entourage development and haven’t switched to eg iCal or Google Calendar. All in all necessary changes with nothing new.
